Pretty SOS​
As my last project Dancing Royal Family was only the creation of a free-association, I decided to go back to more conscious choices. For the music, I therefore decided to focus on the most recognizable songs, as they are often so famous they lose all their meaning. To confuse even more the viewer in the meaning of this soundtrack, I mixed two of these recognizable songs together: Pretty Woman and SOS. For the singing face, I continued the distortion of the face by mixing one with an alien face. Nevertheless, this time, I decided to use my own face again.
For the Central Saint Martins Interim Show 2019, I projected this face very elongated using a mirror, on a high and narrow wall. The sound was shown through headphones so that the viewer can be emerged in the music and see that is a mix of two catchy songs.
