Discovery I
Having done a lot of research and experimentation regarding extra-terrestrial landscapes and the way to represent it and linked to last year’s interest for blue willow, I first tried to represent them on fragile plaster plates in blue.
As I wanted to play around more with film, as well as with the representation of landscape on Google Earth, I created an exploratory journey of this unknown blue planet, mixed with shots of close-ups of textures (powder, plaster, blue liquids etc), sometimes with a hand exploring it. The video itself is round, suggesting a spaceship window or a telescope.
As I was unsure of the music, I choose to use a white noise, suggesting the silence of space. I am also unsure of how to project it, probably on a texture like aluminium foil or plaster.
